The meeting was called to order by President, Scott Woogen at 6:15 pm
A. PROOF OF NOTICE OF MEETING: Proof was given that the meeting announcement was posted on the website, Facebook and at the track.
B. ROLL CALL: Roll call found 64 active members and six current board members present
C. MEETING MINUTES: The minutes from last year’s meeting were reviewed.
D. REPORTS OF OFFICERS: There were no reports of officers
E. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES: There were no committee reports
F. ELECTION OF DIRECTORS: There were three board of director seats open for election. The following people were elected by majority vote of the membership to fill these seats: Charlie Robbins, Tyler Shehan and Tracy Bradshaw.
G. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:
Scott Woogen updated the group on the following items.
1.Churchill Downs buying Colonial Downs and the Rosies sites. The transition seemed to progress smoothly. At this time, Churchill has no plans to race harness horses.
2. The HHR machines continue to produce good income. There is some concern that the various casinos opening in the state will affect this income but only time will tell.
3. The Sired Stakes program is now in its second year. The number of stallions standing this year increased to 20. Mares bred reports are being submitted now so we will know how many mares were actually bred.
As there was no further business to be discussed, Scott Woogen adjourned the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
