Certified Residency Program
The Virginia Standardbred Certified Residency program is available starting with foals born in 2019. A copy of the program rules and requirements can be found by clicking here.

A registration form for each horse that will participate in the program must be submitted prior to the horse beginning the residency program. This form is found by clicking here. Failure to submit this form on time will delay, or possible void, enrollment in the program.
All foals must be microchipped or freeze branded and registered with the VHHA prior to moving to Virginia. Any foal that is not properly registered will be ineligible for the bonus program.

Several farms have indicated that they have space available for horses participating in the program. The complete list can be found by clicking here. Information will be added to this list as we receive it from the facilities. Horses do not have to be kept at one of these farms to be eligible. You may keep your horse anywhere in Virginia.

At the completion of the six month stay, Farms are required to submit the Residency Verification form which can be found here.
