Shenandoah Downs on September 8th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. This is the first time that the HHYF has come to Virginia. This event is open to everyone, but registration is required. There is a small registration fee of $8.00 per person with group and family rates available. Assistance is available for anyone who wants to attend but cannot afford the fee. There will be different stations and fun filled activities for the participants to do that will teach them about standardbreds and the sport of harness racing. Lunch will be provided. Racing Applications to be submitted by August 1st
Racing applications for this year’s race meet need to be submitted by August 1st. Please read the general rules page before signing and returning your application as acknowledgment of these rules are part of the application.
All horses must have a negative Coggins test (within one year) and EHV vaccination (within 7-120 days) on file with the racing office prior to entering the grounds. All horses shipping into the track for the first time must present a valid certificate of veterinary inspection dated within 30 days of entry with temperature on certificate. All documents must be submitted before admittance to the grounds.
