MEETING MINUTES: The minutes from the meeting held on August 22, 2022 were reviewed and approved as written.

NEW BUSINESS:
Item 1. Race meet streaming
Darrell reviewed the status of streaming of the race meet to the ADWs and the Rosie’s OTBs. The Rosies and Colonial Downs will receive the signal as they have in the past. The ADWs will receive the streaming signal through a high speed internet connection. Contracts are in the process of being signed with the ADW companies.
Item 2. Charity Donations
We have $67,500 from the VEA to use for charity donations during the fall race meet. It was moved and seconded that we make the following contributions.
Standardbred Retirement Foundation- $20,000
SRF Palmyra Farm- $10,0000
Standardbred Transition Alliance- $10,000
HHYF- $5,000
Woodstock FFA- $1,500
Woodstock 4-H- $1,500
Shenandoah Fire Dept.- $2,000
Shenandoah Ambulance Co.- $1,500
Response Women’s Shelter- $1,500
This will leave a balance of $14,500 to be used for next year’s donations. The motion passed unanimously.
Item 3. Racing application review
The list of trainers that have turned in racing applications for the fall meet were reviewed. We have requests for 164 horses to stay on the grounds. This number is fairly close to the number that we had last year. We anticipate having stalls to accommodate all of them.
As there was no further business to be discussed, Scott Woogen adjourned the meeting at 7:45 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Debbie Warnick
Executive Director
