The meeting was called to order by president, Scott Woogen at 5:30 p.m.
A. PROOF OF NOTICE OF MEETING: Proof was given that the meeting announcement was posted on the website, Facebook and at the track.
B. ROLL CALL: Roll call found 36 active members present.
C. MEETING MINUTES: There were no minutes from last year’s meeting to be reviewed.
D. REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Scott Woogen reported on the status of Colonial Downs opening. He gave an overview of the HHR machines and the transfer of the OTB operations from the VEA to Colonial Downs.
E. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES: There were no committee reports
F. ELECTION OF DIRECTORS: There were three board of directors seats open for election. The following people were elected by majority vote of those present to fill these seats: Scott Woogen, Betsy Brown and Wilma Foley.
G. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:
1. Breeders’ program committee- It was agreed that we need to establish a committee to oversee revamping and expanding the breeding program. The volunteers for this committee were Randy Jackson, Scott Warnick, Betsy Brown and Anne McDonald.
2. Track committee- It was agreed that we need to establish a track committee that will deal with day to day issues during the track meet and report back to the Board any problems that arise. The volunteers for this committee were Billy Carter and Lawrence Cooper.
As there was no further business to be discussed, Scott Woogen adjourned the meeting at 6:30 p.m.
